Hi! I'm Angela,

Nice to meet you

With over 25 years of experience in social work and more than a decade as a licensed therapist, I bring a depth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and my master’s from the University of Northern Iowa.

I offer mindfulness-based, trauma-informed counseling for individuals recovering from high-demand religions or organizations, controlling relationships and burn-out from high-stress professions.

My training includes a year-long intensive in the VA Clinical Mindfulness protocol (VA CALM) and advanced studies in clinical hypnosis. I continually engage in training related to recovery after religious abuse, controlling relationships, and burnout.

In addition to working with clients, I have spent the past seven years training and coaching clinicians in clinical communication and Motivational Interviewing.

Most importantly, every person I have worked with has taught me more than any education ever could. I am continually humbled and honored to be part of their journey.
